A form with large, sessile acorns; cups with smaU, brown, downy scales, only slightly tumid at base. Qui:ecus cheysolepis, Liebm —The specimen coUected at Fort Tejon is from a large tree, with large acorns, in thickly fulvous-tomentose cups, but with small (1' long) entire leaves. Queecus ageifolia, N^e.—A large tree common about Santa Barbara (163, 164). Queecus Sonomensis, Benth.—On Mount Pinos (205).
